Projects in Process
COVID-19 and Immediate Health Relief:
As the pandemic runs rampant throughout the globe, there are particularly vulnerable places and people. Within the conflict torn zones of Myanmar many civilians are unable to get ready access to medical aid, food and water.
Flooding and Disaster relief:
We are in the process of collecting and providing life-saving supplies to those who are or will be effected by the impending flooding. These supplies are necessary to sustain basic human needs in periods of disaster and flooding crises.
Build a Library Project: (on Hiatus due to Virus outbreak)
We are still in the process of creating our mobile library and educational facility, which will be bringing hot meals, a comfortable and educational environment to those living in extreme poverty.
Skills For Humanity-SFH has created various projects to help aid those in need throughout South East Asia.
Myanmar, has and is, facing many hardships and difficulties. With conflict running rampant throughout the country between EAO’s and the Government leaving thousands of civilians displaced, without homes, food, water, medical aid and even without their loved ones.
Currently over 10 states/Provinces of Myanmar are effected by conflict, leaving only 4 as ‘safe regions’.
Internal unrest brings a trove of issues for the nation of Myanmar, with strong trafficking routes, education being limited, medical aid severely lacking in trained personnel and equipment, human rights violations and civil injustices.
Facing these already momentous difficulties, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought an abundance of hardships.
Many people are losing their jobs or what little income they had, it is causing many to go without food, essential supplies (women are going without hygiene supplies and even undergarments) leaving some so desperate they even abandon their children.
With help our goal is to bring emergency medical aid to those within the conflict areas, supply food and water to homeless persons and IDP’s as well as hygiene products and necessities.
Our long term goal we have is to, set up a facility which will give a safe space to vulnerable persons and will also;
- Offer daily food to homeless persons and vulnerable persons, a shelter for children which have no home/a shelter for the abused
- act as an educational zone which will offer free education to children and young adults on the street and help abuse/trafficking victims find work and supportive networks.
- act as a medical check up facility as well, (Many medical facilities within Myanmar are unable to test for COVID-19 and are left without trained doctors or nurses, even without needed medications)
Currently we are providing emergency aid, COVID-19 response aid, conflict response and long term development to those in dire need.
